The principals of DMS are pioneers in the development of Healthcare Improvement Systems:
Mr. Mickey Christensen was the consultant that lead the American Legion Hospital in Crowley, LA to become the first acute care hospital in the United States to achieve certification to the ISO 9002 (now to ISO 9001) standards. He is the co-author of the IWA-1, an ISO guidelines document for process improvement that is specific for healthcare organizations.
Ms. Charli Hoialmen was the consultant responsible for helping the first healthcare accrediting body (Accreditation Commission for Healthcare –ACHC) to achieve certification to the ISO 9001 Standard. She was also the consultant on the first healthcare hybrid system in world to go through a “dual” audit/survey process.
Both Mickey and Charli have been involved with the development of the hybrid criteria that combine the CMS (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services) Conditions of Participation and the ISO 9001 standard requirements.
